Little dresses

I'm working on a little blessing dress for Betty. I'm using what was left over from Callies wedding dress. 

She wants the daisy lace on it. I know that white is traditional, but I love a little pop of yellow in a blessing dress.

I wanted to machine sew the lining down, but ended up doing it by hand. 

Little tiny sleeves are ready to be set into little tiny holes. And then I will practice making button holes untill I am comfortable doing that on this dress. Honestly, I'll have to watch a video to learn how to do one on this machine. Or I can do it the way I did as a kid ony mom's old 1955 Phaff. It works. 

It's always fun for me to make a baby dress, real baby or baby doll. 

When it's cold, it's time to sew....
