Big Bag

The big bag is, well, big.

It is also ready for it's first visit back to school.

I have been looking at the cowboy fabric for over a year.
I really wanted to get something put together this summer.

It took some time, but I decided on this.
The 9 patch on point are easy
and I had just enough fabric from the the curtains
to make 2 of these.

I do worry that the old fabric is going to rip.
It is so fragile.

I love to spend time in my sewing room on a hot summer afternoon.

Projects to Finish

I finished this little Thanksgiving Quilt.
I'm going to take it to my grandchildren in Canada in couple of weeks.

I have another one.
If I get it done this week,
I think I will enter it in the fair.

I found a cute bag pattern, while I was on my road trip.
The bag is huge.

I take a huge bag to work every day, so I purchased the pattern.

Here is my rant.

I often find patterns have poorly written directions.
And boy, did this one.
From the cutting directions to the last page
I struggled to figure out what it was saying.

I should finish it up today.
And I already have stuff to put in it.

I found some great quilt backs for my scrap quilts this week at Connecting Threads.

I hope to get some sewing done, while I spend a week at home.

Here and There

We have been gone again,

so I am trying to use my quilting time
wisely.

I started machine quilting this one.
When it's done, I will start the other one.

This little quilt is for grand daughter #5.

I sandwiched it on Wednesday
and have been happily quilting it by hand.

I have some other projects planned for this summer.

I found the cutest bag that I want to get started on.

We shall see.

Happy Summer Day!

The Right Color

I took this to my sewing room to make a pillow. I was really thinking of purple and beige. I found a green while looking for pur...
