Red, White and Blue

When I started this quilt,
I wanted it to last for a month or so.

Then, I had a friend start a non-profit.
She is putting together NICU kits

At first I just didn't want to do much.
But then I started looking on-line for ideas
of what quilts she was looking for.
I saw some cute, scrappy, flannel quilts,
and decided I wanted to make a few.

So I am hurrying through my Americana,
because I can't say,
I'll finish this later.

Warm Thoughts

This has been an incredibly busy week.
However, I did find time to work on a couple of projects.

I even sandwiched a quilt.
I like this one.
I think it will be fun to quilt.

I went to Twin Falls today -- 10 miles away.
Oddly enough they don't have snow all over the place.
I just don't understand.

This was us a week ago.

We don't look like that now,
but we still have snow all over the place.

This is from last week also.

I love to see these birds.

I'll be thinking warm thoughts.

Americana

I started a new quilt.

I have been thinking about this quilt for a couple of years.

The pattern is  Pearl Louise Designs.
I picked it up in Rapid City, South Dakota a couple of summers ago.

I think it will keep me busy this winter.

2015

I finished the first quilt of 2015.
It just happens to be the first one I started in 2014.

I still have 3 in my stack to finish.
So, I guess, I should put one together.

Snow

I have had a house full of people.
Instead of sewing, I found myself,
cooking and playing games with the grand kids.

We had snow on Christmas Eve.
Not too much, just perfect for a White Christmas.

We have had more since then.
It froze and it sparkles at night.

We took a little trip to Eastern Idaho.
It was cold and snowy.

When I say snowy,
I mean that Idaho is covered with the white stuff.

It is pretty, but
I have had enough.

Good to be Home

I finished this cross stitch.  I'm looking forward to visiting the Redwoods this Summer with my kids.  I was home this weeke...
