Aprons, Aprons, Aprons

The aprons I made were well used.

I love my son making cookies with his boys.

Turns out I wore mine to breakfast.
I enjoyed it very much.
(The family breakfast and the apron)

I love that my family knows what to give a quilter for Christmas.
I am excited to make a new row quilt.
And I needed a new rotary cutter.

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

Goals

On a visit to California this summer
I talked to a niece about how to finish a hand quilted quilt.
Because, let's face it, they are big and it is easy to get discouraged.

I told her to set a daily or weekly goal.
1 row-
Move the hoop 2 times-
4 inches-
Just something doable.

When I got home, I knew I needed to follow my own advise.
This has taken about forever,
but I realized this week I only have 3 more rows and a border.
The end is in sight.

And here is one of those cute aprons in use.

They are to fun.

Does Life Get any Busier

I have been so busy.
I am always cutting something for my Kindergarten Class.
It's what a quilter does,
We cut
and then
we put it back together
and it looks
Beautiful.

I have cut out 40 hand prints this week.
These should be cute.

I'm so grateful for all the cute ideas out there.

In the Groove

This summer, we were in line at the Merc
in Pawhaska, Oklahoma, when
I found the cutest quilt shop called

I purchased this fabric for a friend who has three girls and was having a boy.

I'm not sure what took me so long,
but it is tied up and ready to deliver.

I did some more machine quilting this week.
This is a little one,
and it needs some binding,
but I finally feel like I'm getting back in the grove.

I hate to say this,
but the blue in this quilt kinda makes my stomach turn.
However,
It is done!

I need a thank you gift for a foster grandma who works in my classroom.

I had this block sitting on my sewing table.

I made this much more difficult than it needed to be,
but it is ready to be presented to a very
sweet, helpful and lovely lady.

Happy Sewing

The Right Color

I took this to my sewing room to make a pillow. I was really thinking of purple and beige. I found a green while looking for pur...
