No Place Like Home

Wes and I went for a drive this week.
Well, actually we went on Spring Break.

We had a lovely time in the Seattle area.
This quilt store was within walking range of our cute little hotel.

We also went to Port Orchard.
We went to a quilt store there also.
And we stopped at this little bakery downtown.
It was amazing.

I found a couple of things.
Flannel for a grandchild in November,
and ribbing....which made me so happy.
I have been looking for it to make bibs for grandma's house.

There were so many moments of pure inspiration.
This beautiful exhibit from Chihuly Garden and Glass.

This flower.
Look at the color and pattern in the bloom.

A kind person who took our picture.

And Puget Sound.

It is always fun to leave home,
but there is no place like home.

Spring Sewing

I have been a little under the weather,
but I did get the triangle cut out.
All of them.

I love crocheting around these little blankets.
It is so relaxing.
And I am in love with the elephant fabric.
I think I will go out and buy some more.

I ran out of scraps of batting for the little NICU quilts.
And I just wondered how they would work as rag quilts.

They are in a gift bag, they are not being used at a hospital.
And I have so much fabric to use up.

I love this time of year.
Things start to bloom.
And who doesn't love popcorn on the apricot tree?

Better popcorn than apricots.

New Fabric

I have new fabric.
Such a lovely feeling.

I hope to start working on this little quilt soon.
It is always fun to have a baby on the way.

Good to be Home

I finished this cross stitch.  I'm looking forward to visiting the Redwoods this Summer with my kids.  I was home this weeke...
