Cute Projects

One of the reasons I take pictures of my projects
is because I can't see it until I see a picture of it.

I didn't think I liked these squares until
I looked at these pictures.

They are so much cuter than I thought.

It's my new project.
I should apologize to my children,
who will be receiving a Thanksgiving quilt.

The row I did this week was called, 'chubby chevrons'
Next week is the apples...which are intimidating.

This is my happy place.
I love to have look in this box.
The colors just make me smile.

New Project

I finished this little quilt
and
the twin receiving blankets.

I think I will get both projects in the mail this week.
It isn't often that I'm early with the baby presents.

My daughter asked for a new lunch bag...
a little bigger than the last one.

It is a LOT bigger,
but it is what it is!

So I finally got brave.
I picked out fabric for the row by row quilt.
Thank you Lori Holt for making it easier.
This may be fun.

Charm Packs

We went to the lake this week to spend some time with our granddaughters.
It was nice, but it is also nice to come home.

I am always drawn to the 5 inch squares.
But what do you do with them?

I found a picture on Pinterest and then started sewing.
Really?  I need to have a plan.

It worked out.

I think I will get it machine quilted this week.

Busy Week

I went to California last weekend for a wedding.
If you have ever been on I-80 going over the Sierras,
you can take off on Hwy 20.
I highly recommend taking it all the way until you see blue.

It was beautiful, the sky and the ocean.

But we had to come home.

I am thinking about making this quilt for my scrap quilt this summer.

But first, I wanted to make a quilt for my son.
I finally got brave and learned how to cut up t-shirts and make quilt squares with them.

It worked.

Some of these are t-shirts, but  most of them are not.
I like it.

Look what I found?
What do you think for a twins; a girl and a boy?

Didn't make It

My grand daughter asked for a quilt for her American girl doll. I just didn't get it done in time to mail, but she will be happy with it...
