Hand Work Time

I was looking for buttons to embellish my snowman square,
when I realized I needed to do something.

They were in zip-lock bags and hard to work with.
Now I can see them and they make me happy.

As for the snowman square,
I was able to work on it while visiting my parents in California.

100th Post

It appears that this the 100th post.
To be honest, I have come to like this blog.
It is fun to share and I love reading other quilting blogs.

Here I am still working on Tulips
and loving them more and more.

I don't see them getting done this week.

Which is okay, because I haven't decided what to do next.

Happy Spring Break.

Signs of Spring

I have been on the hunt for more flannel.
Looks like I will be busy.

I am slowly but surely working on the tulip quilts.
It is very much like the tulips in my garden,
first their little green leaves push up and then
comes the color.

I am also hand quilting my other tulip quilt...
and starting to think about the next project.

Waiting...

I have a 16 year old son who is tall and skinny.
It is so hard to find cloths that fit him.
So I found a white button up shirt at a thrift store for $5--
Did I mention that it was new?
Well he wouldn't wear it, because it was too wide.

So not wanting to waste my excellent find,
I sewed up the sides and the sleeves, to the tune of about 2 inches,
I had a boat load of extra fabric and was wishing I still had my serger.
Instead I found a nice stitch on my machine and just cut off all the excess fabric.
It worked, and he wore it...finally.

Then there is the story of this quilt.
I could not figure out how to put on the last three boarders.
I had to pick out....not my favorite thing to do.
But it worked out in the end.

Then there is the Bunny Hill bom.
I really wanted more color, so I am hoping this will brighten it up.

I am still waiting for spring......
Please come....

Sashay Scraf

I know that a a few weeks ago, I posted some yarn.
After selling a couple and teaching a few people how to make them,
I finally got mine finished.
We will see if I ever wear it.
I'm not very fond of things around my neck.

I taught my daughter in law how to make them
and she made this little one for her little one.

I am hoping to be back to sewing this week.

Good to be Home

I finished this cross stitch.  I'm looking forward to visiting the Redwoods this Summer with my kids.  I was home this weeke...
