Disappearing 4 Patch

I had been thinking about the disappearing 4 patch blocks.
While in some boring meetings, I tried to draw a quilt for them.

And then on Saturday,
I just got them out and went to work.
At first, I thought it was going to be a little quilt,
but,
It's just right for nap.

I cut a couple of blocks in half for the corners.

I love how putting them on point,
made them look totally different.

As I was putting boarders on,
I almost decided not to put the orange on.

But I did it, because that was my plan,
and it worked out.

The trees in town are in bloom.
They smell amazing.

Lesson learned

I had it planned to sandwich the purple and gray quilt on Friday.
I sadly, didn't feel well on Friday.
But, it was on my schedule,
so I thought the least I could do was get the back and batting ready.

Lesson  learned;

Don't measure and cut things when you don't feel well.
Let's just say that a trip to the store was involved.

Many hours later,
I felt better and put this quilt together.

Guess what?
Sandwiching a quilt is my least favorite step in quilting.

But it is necessary and ready to work on.

Some quilts are a Journey

Look what I finished!

I started this two years ago with my quilt group.
It has taken some time.
But it is complete.

I  hope this is the last snow of the year.

So next week...
I have two quilts to sandwich.
I sure hope I get to them.

I'm hoping to go to the

Good to be Home

I finished this cross stitch.  I'm looking forward to visiting the Redwoods this Summer with my kids.  I was home this weeke...
