Baby Give-a-way

I had started this last week. I made it smaller because I wanted to back it with some minky I had. 

I wanted to use these two scraps. It worked out perfectly. I must admit that I have no idea when I ever used the white minky. 

We went to my nieces wedding. I was surprised to see her mother's wedding dress on display.  Her mother was killed in a car accident when she was 9 weeks old. 

Look at the work she did on the bodice of this dress. She was so very talented. It was a sentimental addition to the event. 

I wore the outfit that I had to hem. It was very comfortable and I don't think anyone noticed that I had cut off the bottom of it. Hannah also made her dress. It was very lovely, but she hadn't reached her mother's expertise yet. 

Back to a normal week. I'm almost ready to start to the Lori Holt sew along. I'll start a week behind. I'm a little concerned about my ability to use her applique technique and but I do like to learn new things.
