Struggle

I made this quilt for a dear friend and an exceptionally good person who fell in love with the paper dolls. I thought it would be a piece of cake. I'm not sure how I did it, but I measured and cut the squares wrong. Then when I fixed it, I did it wrong again. I cut them smaller than the paper dolls.

I would take out a row and then come upstairs and think again.

I was stuck. I had adjusted the paper doll row, but the row under it was still 2 inches to big. I measured and measured the blocks. It should have been right but it wasn't.

Finally, I decided that if I had 2 inches left and had 8 squares they had to be 1/4 inch too big. I did not want to cut again because of the previous mistake. I tried sewing it together with a 3/8th seem.

Booya! Finished it up in 2 hours.

I looked up and saw this.

Amen Sister!
