Getting There

I had some time on on my hands one day this week and got my blocks put together.

I needed a second voice to figure out how to finish it.

We decided on yellow and a darker shade of gray.

I found some with flowers and I thought it would work.

At this point I was not sure it would work.
So I took it outside for a picture.  That's when I saw that it did work. Funny how often that happens to me.

Now to sandwich and quilt it.

Just in case you try this pattern. It is called Carolina Dogwoods and the directions are good, just somewhat unbelievable when you start.

Press the squares-- it is easier to create the curve.

Baste the out side of every folded triangle to the square.  It just makes it possible to make that curve.

After you make the first square and you feel like you will never get this, keep trying and put the first one in the quilt. It gets better.
