In this crazy time we are calling life right now, it turns out we have some new needs. Let's face it, before this crisis, I had never known that a mask worn at a hospital is called a N95. Now they are running out. The call to make these came on Friday and by Saturday morning, there was no more 1/4 inch elastic in the stores around here. Mine came from my doll cloths box. I am sending these to a friend in California, who is very grateful for the help. She knows it is not to replace her last N95, but to help prolong the life of it.
I have a few more yards of elastic and will make some more masks. I'm sure that I will figure out where to send them.
We have decided that fixing sewing machines is an essential service. We have had a few this weekend with more coming tomorrow. I am not the only one who can not stay home and not sew.
Row three is coming along.
Hang in there and keep a needle close by.
