Grandma's Quilt

For Mothers Day I thought I would post a picture of this quilt.  I found the top when I was a teenager.  My father's mother made the top.  It had been a quilt at one time because I could see the quilting lines on it.  It was missing the side boarders.  A few years ago, I decided to make it a quilt again.  I used the same quilting lines.  My grandmother died when my dad was 8, so I never meet her, but I as so happy to have this quilt.

I have been thinking about making a quilt using these.

This quilt is inspired by pictures like this one in the Sawtooths of Central Idaho

Or maybe this, from Yellowstone.

Taking trips like these always inspire me.
