Week 4

This month seems long....maybe daily posting wasn't the great idea. I did sell another quilt this week. My total donation to the American Cancer Society is $675.

I have have struggled with how much my personal donation should be, because selling quilts is very much a personal donation.  I have one more I might sell this week or not.

Monday I pulled out this quilt and quilted the straight rows making it stable. I think I will do each butterfly individually. I'm not sure exactly how, but it's a start.

I also finished the houses. My son's family are BYU fans, and rightly do. They say things like, Go Cougs, which makes them fans. Four of my kids, three of their spouses graduated from their and I'm still not a fan. Back to the houses. I like the BYU house and the cat one turned out cute too.

Tuesday I laid it out and put it together. I really liked it. This is a Cluck, Cluck, ftSew pattern and it did not disappoint.

Wednesday I went out to Salli's Front Porch Quilts. It was a wicked windy day here but it is always warm and peaceful inside her store. We had a good long chat.

I came home with some fabric that spoke to me.

Thrusdsy and  Friday I put together another one of these quilts. I had hoped I had enough brown Minky from the last one to use here, but was short a few inches.
And yesterday I helped at a dinner for a funeral. I was extremely tired afterwards so I settled for a couple of hexagons. I'm almost out of them. Then I'll be ready to start construction on the quilt top.

Don't blow away....
Happy Spring....
Sewing, sewing, sewing...
