Sewing Machine Love

I'm in love,
I mean, who wouldn't be?
This little Singer will last forever.
Wish it were mine.

Turning the Corner

I looked at this block every time I came downstairs this week.
Although I had my doubts as to whether it would work,
I think it will.
I am thinking about using buttons for eyes,
and then I will hand stitch the rest.

I am happy that I have turned the last corner on this quilt.
I love these three little boarders.
There is no rhythm or reason to why it makes me happy to finish them up.

Block of the Month

I went to my quilt group and some had started their new projects.
I told you that they would be different,
but I found them really different.

So I came home and picked some colors.
I'm right in there with my friends.
It is different, and I want to throw in some red to boot.

God Bless our BOM's

We do most of our sewing machine business through a local fabric store.
However, we also will go a pick up from individuals.
So, I went with my husband to pick up a machine.
This had been in there a long, long, time so,
he just picked up the cabinet and brought it home.

For the record, this old machine, just needed cleaned.
It is hard to break the old ones.

Snowmen

We had a snow day yesterday, so I had a day off.
I took the opportunity to quilt the table runner.

The back is as festive as the front.
After Christmas, I put out all the snowmen I have collected over the years.
This will work perfect with them.

I also thought of two more quilts for my quilt list.
A scrappy and easy quilt for Suzanne
and my quilt group is going to do this one

 Bunny hill blog snowman BOM

It is from Bunny Hill and knowing my quilt group,
they will all be individual.

So I machined quilted this little project yesterday.
Now, I can wait for the new owner of this little project to be born so
I can take a little trip and deliver it and hold a new little granddaughter.

I realize that it is new year and I think I am ready for a new Quilt List.

Happy New Years Day

For the record, we live in Southern Idaho.
We don't get a lot of snow, but we have some now and it is so cold that it's not going anywhere.

So it seemed like a good day to make this.
I am thinking about quilting it...It may be a challenge for me.

This little quilt was going to be pink and green.
Then I went to pick out a green piece of fabric and I saw this little giraffe print.
Her crib has brown bumper pads, so I think it will work.

And then there was time to put this sweet little receiving blanket together.

It was on a New Years Day many years ago that my friend, Liz had me over
and taught me how to  make a Log Cabin Quilt in a Day.
What can I say?  It changed my life.
Thank you Liz...you are the best.
