Here is something that you will rarely see here.

They were easy and someone else made the handles.

Sandwiching Success

I thought about how to quilt this one, but the batting sealed the deal.
I had 100% cotton, I usually use 80/20.
So I have my work cut out for me.

I also got this one ready to quilt.  I am looking forward to this one.

The things I do on my days off

As I was driving to work on Monday, I started thinking about making a quilt for a teacher who is going to take off a couple of months to do some aggressive cancer treatments.
After talking to her, I decided to make a hankie quilt.

Yes, it is the 5th one I have made...and the final...I am out of hankie panels.

So why a hankie quilt?
Here is why I am hooked on hankies.
When I was a little girl, my grandmother used to send me a hankie for my birthday.

When I pulled this one out, I thought, 'wow, I should put this in a little quilt.'
I think that when these hankies are added to the 30's reproductions they make a happy memory.

Now, back to work.  I only have a week to finish this one up.

Didn't make It

My grand daughter asked for a quilt for her American girl doll. I just didn't get it done in time to mail, but she will be happy with it...
